Multiple summer camps are held at UNCG with schedules overlapping. We request that campers be dropped off and picked up at the Walker traffic circle in front of Jackson Library. All camp families are asked to park in Oakland Parking Deck and walk with campers. There will be no on-street drop off or pick-up. There will be staff and signs out on Stirling Street directing parents to park in the deck — up to 30 minutes complimentary. We apologize for any inconvenience or disruption this may cause. Please know it is for safety reasons that deck parking is necessary. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
Only on Monday and Friday of the camp, to allow parents/guardians to participate in opening and project presentations/closing session, parking pass for Oakland deck will be given (one per student). We cannot provide parking pass for Walker deck and you will be responsible for parking fee if you so decide to park there.
There is no free parking on campus and parking regulations are strictly enforced at all times, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Please do not park in handicap, restricted, or reserved spots. And please do not leave vehicles unattended in the drop off loading zone. The workshop organizers will not be responsible for illegal parking and its consequences.
Campus maps and driving directions are available online at http://parking.uncg.edu/access/.
NOTE: There are multiple camps running in UNCG that week. So, please read the appropriate signs and do not drop-off your child at the wrong site. Look for “IT is for Girls” camp sign.
We understand not all parents can pick up their children at 4:30. The Digital Media Commons (located in the Jackson Library lower level, where many camp events will be held) has a gaming lab and capable staff that will assist with the camp and supervise any children who may need a later pickup time. Alyssa Wharton will also stay with any campers until everyone is picked up.
